Frozen 3 Movie to hit Theaters in 2027

Frozen 3 Movie 2027 - Walt Disney Animation

Frozen 3 Movie – The animated film “Frozen 3” is reportedly set to hit theaters on November 24, 2027.

As reported by the Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday (8/13) local time, the official release date emerged a few days after Walt Disney Animation’s chief creative officer Jennifer Lee shared the first concept image for “Frozen 3” at the D23 event.

As previously announced by Disney, she also confirmed that the 4th film is also in the works.

The Frozen franchise has been a blessing for Disney and a mainstay of Thanksgiving, with 2013’s Frozen starring Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel earning $1.28 billion, while Frozen II (2019) earning $1.45 billion.

Frozen 3 was originally scheduled to hit theaters in 2026, but like many other films, it was delayed due to the pandemic and strikes.

Lee wrote and directed the first two films with Chris Buck.

Frozen tells the story of two sisters who are orphaned when their parents, the king and queen of the kingdom of Arendelle, die.

Elsa, voiced by Menzel, is crowned queen, but her dangerous ice powers pose a challenge.

Bell voices Anna, her beloved younger sister.

Images shown at D23 show Elsa riding a horse, while Anna rides a different horse with Olaf, the ever-popular snowman voiced by Josh Gad.
